Customized Consulting

Most families prefer to purchase services or packages that include research to "fit" their child's specific needs. When that research has already been completed prior to meeting Mrs. Malia, consulting on an hourly basis addresses a myriad of other points of interest, from navigating college admissions to choosing extracurricular programs. Consulting services are easily customized to meet individual family desires and diverse financial circumstances. Personalized consulting alleviates concerns surrounding: financial aid, individual applications, interviewing, navigating the Common Application, standardized testing, athletics, arts, resume building, internships, enrichment programs, and ultimately, all other aspects of college admission.

Rising or Present Senior

Complete assistance compiling a preliminary and final list of schools with accompanying research and explanation is offered. Moreover, Coll-edge provides guidance navigation between Early Decision, Early Action, Priority and Regular Decision, as well as expert advice in helping to choose majors and minors.

Perhaps one of the most important components of the college process lies in the college essay. Beginning from brainstorming through at least three drafts of revision and editing, Coll-edge facilitates submission of polished pieces ready for admissions officers. Likewise, resume writing assistance is also available.

Recommendations from Mrs. Tara Malia are only available after consultation and at least ten hours advising. The reason for the prerequisite ten hours is to simply maintain the integrity of the process, as well as to allow for both the student and consultant to establish a rapport.

Rising or Present Junior

Surely the phrase, "junior year is most important" rings in many ears. Consulting regarding junior and senior year scheduling is available. Coll-edge recommends coursework according to school offerings, availability and teachers' comments.

Resume building should continue throughout your student's high school career. Consulting regarding summer internship possibilities and/or community service recommendations is a popular choice for juniors.

Rising or Present Sophomore

Consulting regarding sophomore, junior and senior year scheduling is also offered. As aforementioned, Coll-edge recommends future coursework according to school offerings, availability and teachers' comments.

Consulting regarding summer internship and/or community service is available to sophomores; however students must be 16 years or older. Working papers are not included with consultation.

Freshman

Consulting is available for a freshman on an hourly basis.
